指债券发行人设立的一个特别帐户，旨在为提前赎回债券提供资金。发债人会选择在债券价格对己有利时(比如跌至面值以下)买回债券，因为这样做要比债券到期时才赎回(通常是按面值赎回)省钱。购买基金与偿债基金类似，但前者是发债人自愿设立的，后者则是按偿债基金条款必须设立的。

A borrower uses a purchase fund to buy back issued bonds in the secondary market if the price is advantageous, i.e. at par or below. This can save money on repayment of the bonds at par at maturity. Similar to a sinking fund but not mandatory.
