英文Consumer Price Index的缩写，是反映零售层面物价变动的指标。消费物价指数的计算基础是典型消费者所购买的一篮子商品和服务，通过收集和比较固定商品组合的价格变动编制而得。也称“零售物价指数”（Retail Price Index）。
