布雷迪债券 - Buleidi zhaiquan
布雷迪债券源自发展中国家以主要欧洲货币借入的银团贷款。在20世纪80年代初的经济衰退期间，很多发展中国家因外汇枯竭而无力偿还这些贷款。为恢复金融界对借款国的信心，当时的美国财长尼古拉斯·布雷迪于1989年提出一项计划，将大部分这种债务转换成由美国财政部支持的可转换债券。

Brady Bonds
These bonds originated as syndicated bank credits to developing countries, denominated in major European currencies. During the economic recession of the early 1980s many developing countries ran out of foreign currency to meet their payments on these loans. To restore confidence in the borrowers, much of this debt was converted at a discount into negotiable bonds backed by the US Treasury, under a scheme introduced in 1989 by the then US Treasury Secretary Nicholas Brady.
